After a preliminary diagnosis, we will know whether the hard drive has a logical, mechanical or electrical defect, corrupt partitions, virus infected files…We will contact you during this diagnosis in order to receive more information, and then we will communicate the cost for the recovery and the time required for the data recovery. In case you accept the cost, we will move on to the next step.STEP 2 – DATA RECOVERY
STEP 3 – DATA DELIVERY Once the data is recovered and saved on one of our storage devices, returning them can be done in several ways: if the quantity of data is smaller than 14GB, it can be written on DVDs, if the recovered data exceeds 14GB, we will transfer the data on another hard drive or write it to the hard drive from which they were recovered (if possible), or we can also offer the client an external hard drive to transport the data, in exchange of a guarantee. The recovered data will be kept on our storage devices for another 5 days from the moment the client receives it. After this period, the data is deleted from our storage devices.

This process can vary a lot depending on the nature of the defect the hard drive presents. In case the defect is mechanical or electrical, we will proceed to the acquisition and replacement of the required components. If the defect is related to the firmware of the hard drive, we will try to repair it. If the hard drive is operational, but there are problems as to the file structure, we will try to restore it. In case of mechanical defects, all operations of component replacement to the hard drive shall be performed in a specialized environment, meaning CLEAN ROOM CLASS 100.
